Went to see Avengers Assemble. Can’t say I was too disappointed, really. Expected some superhero rompy-time fun, and that’s precisely what I got.
Just for giggles, let’s see if I can save myself the time of recapping and let a picture do the talking.
… just pretend that the Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow are there, and they’re all gonna beat up Loki because he’s doing bad stuff, right? It’s close enough.
(I could’ve had the Hulk and Loki, but you wouldn’t believe the resale prices on their minifigures, it’s bloody sacrilege!)

I got vouchers for Xtravision around Christmas, and thought I’d be worthwhile actually making use of them, preferably to try other games that I’m interested in but unsure of buying, but hey, trying out movies I wouldn’t bother buying can’t hurt either. … can it?
We watched Outcast. I didn’t even read the blurb in detail, all I saw was a neat lookin’ Resident Evil style claw on the box along with a couple of beardy Irish actors on the images on the back, and I thought, “sold!” Having watched it, I can say it isn’t really my thing.
A mother and son move from their caravan to the inner city slums. The boy happens to turn into a monster at night. There’s two folks from a strange cult out to find the two and kill them. There’s a romance between the boy and a local girl. The mother is frighteningly overbearing. Misery ensues.

I went to see Hot Tub Time Machine last night. My dad offered to see the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, but quite frankly, that doesn’t interest me. Given the fact modern cinemas do not perform wish fulfilment, I opted for Hot Tub instead, which was the only one that caught my fancy. The trailer was stupidly enticing!

Random Action Hour is updated with another Cadillacs & Dinosaurs episode, Wildfire. It’s not a bad watch, but recapping it is a bit of a slog because the plot is literally just “they move – there’s an obstacle – Hammer is an idiot – repeat” for about twenty minutes.
On Thursday night I decided to watch the first Iron Man again with someone who’d never seen it before. Reanalysis time!

I saw Iron Man 2. There’s been a hell of a lot of hype and, naturally, every fanboy worth his rainbow suspenders is proclaiming how great it’s going to be. I went to a showing with several friends, had quite a merry laugh amidst the fun and excitement, and ended it with a trip to Bar 12, a pleasant little place where we rounded off the evening with lots of nerdy, nerdy debate. It was a very entertaining night.
I’m a little bit ehhh about the movie, though.
