Wait a minute…the 2nd “Explanation”, (where he says that when he sees anyone giving up, he repeatedly kicks them in the face) is at odds with the final explanation (where he gives up on the horrible board/teleprompter/whatever).
Hopefully this means Goemon will repeatedly kick himself in the face, though that doesn’t quite seem like sufficient punishment for that magazine article.
