Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden

A manga by Koichi Mitaka (三鷹公一), serialised in Bessatsu/Supplementary CoroCoro Comic (別冊コロコロコミック) from October 1996 to December 1999 ^[src].

A tie-in to the Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden toyline, the manga reinvented itself with each new iteration of the franchise, featuring entirely new settings. Although character names and archetypes are carried over, the only major link between each iteration is the influence of the villain Dark Mother. The two B-Daman Bakugaiden TV anime were adapted from the IV and V portions (with the Bakugaiden III portion summarised in the first two episodes).

The series was collected in five volumes and released in Japan, Taiwan and Indonesia.

Bakugaiden II

Shirobom and company are embowed with zodiac-themed armour and upgrades in their fight against the Bomber Shitennou (and other Super Bomberman 4 foes), led from the shadows by Dark Mother.	1	爆炎の章 Chapter of Fire

Bakugaiden III

Bakugaiden IV

Shirobom and friends use their B-Da Armor mecha to protect B-Da City from the nefarious Dark B-Da. The longest of the series and more gag-driven and character-focused than before.

Published under Shogakukan's Tentōmushi Comics (てんとう虫コミックス) banner. The full-colour title pages from Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic are now greyscale, though all volumes feature a character introduction at the start.

The first four volumes were exported to Taiwan by Chingwin (青文出版社) and Indonesia by m&c!; as far as I'm aware, the fifth volume never left Japan.
