Dated September 2nd 2009. Jim Sterling breaks the news about the upcoming game, said to be released on all three consoles' digital platforms, the Xbox Live release arriving in Winter 2009 and the WiiWare and PlayStation Network releases scheduled for 2010. These two were ultimately cancelled and the Xbox Live release pushed back to Winter 2010.
Dated September 2nd 2009. Notable only for claiming the proposed WiiWare release was to be titled Bomberman Blast: Battlefest (in reference to the WiiWare-exclusive multi-player demo Bomberman Blast). No other source said such a thing so we can safely assume it's bunk.

A placeholder game page hyping up the game's new features. Another version with different formatting also existed for some reason.
A user-made blog run by the staff at Pi Studios, talking about various designs aspects of the game.
Power-Ups: Dated June 7th 2010. Level designer Jeremy Statz discusses the wide variety of bomb types added to the game. The text cuts off midway through describing the Barrier, unfortunately.
Concept Art Development: Dated December 8th 2010. Artist Jessica Oyhenart shows the design process of the costumes, from brain-storming "thumbnails", to orthographic illustrations, and finally 3D models (with a little fine-tuning afterward for ease of visibility)! Also features concept art of Bombysocks, Bombosapien, Tutenbomben, Napoleon Bombaparte and Bomb Reaper.
Gimmicks: Dated December 8th 2010. Jeremy Statz lists some of the ideas he had for arena gimmicks.
Website of 3D modeller Chris Foster. The Reaper skin has a highlight page showing off its render.
The full render used for the title screen, posted on concept artist Jessica Oyhenart's deviantART gallery.
Dated November 2009. Ryan McCaffrey previews the then-upcoming game (over a year before its eventual release!), offering a "hype level" of 2.5 out of 4. Notably, its developer is listed as Backbone Entertainment, suggesting the developers of the original Bomberman Live were on board before Pi Studios took the reins. Image from the Internet Archive. |
Dated June 2010. Ryan McCaffrey tries out some of the new modes, bumping his "hype level" up to 3 out of 4. Image from the Internet Archive. |
Dated March 2011. Ryan McCaffrey finally plays the finished product. He hails its multitude of multi-player content, but is disappointed by the lack of single-player options. Awarded 6.5 out of 10. Image from the Internet Archive. |
