Bomberman 64: Tips and Tricks

Adventure mode isn't just about wanton destruction. Well, o.k., mostly it is. But there's plenty of puzzle-solving and searching for concealed items, too. Obstacles that won't yield to regular bombs might cave in to Power Bombs or Pumped Bombs.

Moving around Green Garden is pretty straightforward, although there are a few hard-to-reach warps. In Blue Resort, though, you'll have to dodge a rain of cannon fire as you thread your way through a maze of canals, drawbridges and stone paths. But that's a cakewalk compared to the lava labyrinth of Red Mountain. When you're not forced to share the road with rolling mine carts, you'll have to edge your way down rickety walkways. One false move and you're, uh, toast.

Remote Bombs won't detonate until you pull the Z Button, so use them to build ladders to hard-to-reach places. A bridge very far

Pump up the action

Pick up a bomb, then rapidly tap your A Button to double its destructive power.
If you're having trouble kicking or tossing your bombs with precision, try shifting your camera angle. Camera angle
Kicking a bomb Kicking a bomb comes in very handy when there's no room to toss one. In Green Garden, kick a bomb through this low opening to blow the roof off a cage containing a switch.
Stun an enemy by heaving a bomb on his head, then pick him up and toss him somewhere from which he can't escape. Just as with bombs, you'll have to stand a little away in order to pick up your dizzy rival. Pick up an enemy
Drawbridge In Blue Resort, you'll have to lower the drawbridges by depositing Pumped Bombs by the hinges.
While cruising Red Mountain's tracks, look sharp for places to pull over if a careening cart comes your way. Cart
