Outside of the slower framerate, the US (NTSC) and European (PAL) versions of the game are identical; so much so that an American Gameshark and its codes will work with a European copy - a rarity on European hardware!
The Japanese version opens on the Hudson logo against a white screen. The English versions replace it with a black screen containing all the copyright and release info for both Nintendo and Hudson.
The English title screen adds a trademark, drops the year of copyright (having relegated it to the previous screen), changes "PUSH" to "PRESS", and adds a "64" to the logo - it appears after the intro finishes fading to white.
Many voice clips were replaced with English samples. Credit goes to the Baku Bomberman Data Collection for the Japanese transcriptions.
