It&#8217;s a feature that&#8217;s been prevelant in Japanese sports games for a long time (and only rarely seen exported to English shores, sadly), perhaps most notably in Konami&#8217;s long-running <i>Power Pro-kun<\/i> baseball series, but was no exception to other sports like <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/C00FLxBkIgs?t=1h38m20s\">F1 racing<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lostlevels.org\/200405\/200405-hti.shtml\">ice hockey<\/a>, and, er, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20071021091017\/http:\/goodtimeretrocafe.com\/nes\/pinquest.html\"> pinball<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">You could argue that <i>WWE 2K15<\/i> and other 2K Sports games ushered a revival of this feature with the MyCareer mode, presenting the rise and fall of your custom player over the course of multiple matches, feuds and interviews <span style=\"font-size: xx-small;\">(or the course of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dRvDKsUN-dI&amp;list=PL57hJfweW_2spXAJVg8mXzfCOYtfVmt2f&amp;index=1\"> Spike Lee joint<\/a>)<\/span>. It&#8217;s definitely a step in the right direction, but it&#8217;s not the same without a dinky little RPG overworld, y&#8217;know?
