BLOGTASTIC

I was at the publication of my father's book today and didn't muster up the diversity of taste to try a scotched egg, but I'll totally and completely ignore that topic and instead focus on what happened next: Going to a Kieran Goss concert.
I've a fondness for Irish musicians. Anthony John Clarke, Brian Kennedy, the aforementioned and the like. This was also the first concert I'd been to, and it was pretty good all around, as between songs Kieran would just have a short chat with the audience, telling them a bit of history behind the upcoming song or himself, or just some random, totally unrelated event that has nothing to do with anything at all.
My father and Kieran have met and collaborated a couple of times, and he considers dad one of his best friends because he doesn't drink all his red wine but brings his own. Thus, Kieran showed up at father's book publication, sang one the songs he had input on, and we get some photos and brief chit chat with him after the show.
And now you know about the only interesting thing I did today. :]

I discovered this site today, and I cannot understand a lick of it, but I think that's why I love it.

You know what's hilarious? The day after my last blog entry I was struck with a cold that's had my nose spewing its contents everywhere every time I lean my head ever so slightly downwards. And it doesn't help that I've been gifted with a crybaby nose that doesn't like the feel of tissues rubbing against it, and the fact it feels like there's a brick inside my head.
So how's your day? :]

I'm in another "moan moan i can't write anything for shiz" mode at the minute, so I wouldn't be expecting much more than sprites for the meantime.
In other news, I've been playing Crash Bandicoot for the first time in years, and although I forgot how good it was, I also forgot that it's an absolute bitch! Seriously, Donkey Kong Country level of frustration here, yo.

I was in Belfast today with my brother, meeting up with the ambassador of funk, Aodhán, the guy who let me pinch his webspace and general homie. It's been two years since I've seen him, and the guy hasn't changed a bit. His hair's the same, his personality hasn't changed, his interests haven't changed, and even our activities haven't changed, as we went to the same exact places. I'm not sure if that's an accomplishment or not, but I'm not complaining.
Today's observation: Even though it's about twelve years old, anything related to The Nightmare Before Christmas is still of great interest for fat goth girls. Nobody cared about the plush doll of that enemy from Dig-Dug, Pooka. :{
Today's worry: A couple of those fat goth girls were pretty cute, which is ironic as I find the whole goth look rather ridiculous. Does that make me a bad person? :{

Today's observation: Somebody tried to give the ducks cigarettes and a football.

Random Action Hour is Fighting Street's site of the month, which is pretty rad. [proof for archival purposes] Now if only Mega Man sites actually gave a hoot about it; they're too busy announcing the release of yet another Battle Network game every time I look.
