Terror of the Giant Tidal Waves

The narrator starts the episode off by telling us that the Decepticons have been in hiding for over a month and it seems that, for now, peace has returned to the Earth. At the Shuttle base, the Autobots aren't waiting around for their next attack though and even though Braver's lab has a keep out sign on it Jan goes in to find out that he's made five more of those Decepticon brainwave reading units we saw back in The New Warrior, Hellbat. Later on the Autobots have a meeting and find out that the Decepticons are hiding under the sea, so they all split up to search the Earth's oceans.

Meanwhile in the Thunder Arrow, the Decepticons have achieved nothing in the month they've been hiding and a furious Deszaras is so fed up with Leozack that he now believes that any of his plans aren't even worth talking about and grabs and throws his minion to the ground, saying that he was hoping to have much more energy now then they actually have. Hellbat then pops in and whispers a plan of his own to the Decepticon leader.

Outside, Leozack attacks Hellbat and is not happy that he didn't tell him his plan first, and instead went straight to Deszaras. After just about dodging his moves, Hellbat explains that he actually said he got his plan from working with Leozack, so he should be back in favour with Deszaras again, and if this plan works, then he should stop beating him up. Later, Hellbat says that they must use all of the energy they have gathered so far with this plan, but the energy they will gain will be thousands of times more than what they currently have.

The plan involves Atlantis, the thought to only be a legend city, which is under the sea and the Decepticons know where it is. There is huge amounts of energy there just waiting to be taken, but Deszaras is concerned because should this plan fail, then they will be back to square one with no energy at all. But Hellbat says that big risks bring big rewards and the thought of finally being able to bring his fortress out of the dark nebula convinces Deszaras to go ahead with it.

Even with their new scanner units the Autobots can't find anything with all of them reporting in with no findings. That is until Wingwaver picks up a very feint signal, so Star Saber decides to head their himself since he's the closest and check it out.

At Atlantis, the Dinoforce are busy removing all of the collected energy from the Thunder Arrow and putting it all near to the sunken city. Soon they unload all of it and Deszaras stands on top of his ship, powering up his cannon. Briefly looking at all of the energy for once last time, he shoots a massive beam straight towards the city.

The energy left around explodes, and given how much of it there is the explosions are gigantic and Deszaras and the other Decepticons see that their plan is working - the city of Atlantis is beginning to rise.

Above the sea, some people on a cruise liner are having a wonderful time...until a giant tidal wave appears and kills them all, sinking the ship in an instant. The wave is massive and as Star Saber meets up with Wingwaver, he tells him that the Rescue team have been sent out to the coastal cities already to help out whilst they think that a wave so large is not natural and must have been caused by someone.

Atlantis then rises out of the ocean, and this what caused the tidal wave. Star Saber's canner unit is bleeping like crazy and the two Autobots head down to take a closer look at what they are up to. They find the Dinoforce loading the Thunder Arrow with lots of energy, but then they get a call in from Braver who says that the tidal wave has hit part of Spain and that people need help. So the Autobots can't stop the Decepticons for now and head out to save people.

There have been several tidal waves due to Atlantis rising out of the sea and due to this, different parts of the Earth have been badly damaged, leaving many people in danger. All of the Autobots are out rescuing as many of them as possible, but they know that whilst they do this, the Decepticons are getting away with a lot of energy.

Back at Atlantis, Deszaras tells everyone to hurry up taking the energy as they don't know how long it will be before the lost continent starts to sink again. Leozack then transforms and reports in, saying that the Autobots have their hands full dealing with rescue operations, so they can take the energy in peace. Deszaras says that once they release his fortress, the likes of the Autobots will never be a concern again.

In Spain, Star Saber has called in Victory Leo to help him out and the two Autobots hold up a bridge so a monorail train can take people to safety, but the Decepticons arrive to ruin everything and blast the bridge with missiles.

The Autobots are then contacted by Wingwaver who says that the Dinoforce seemed to have filled up the Thunder Arrow with energy, so they'd better stop them soon. But the Brestforce surround them and they don't have the time to fight them them all, so they transform into Victory Saber. So Leozack gets everyone to unite and transform into Liokaiser, and the two of them fight.

As usual, even Liokaiser cannot stand up to Victory Saber and is soon being beaten in the fight. Meanwhile at Atlantis, the Thunder Arrow is full up, so Deszaras gets inside it and blasts off without the Dinoforce. He tells them not to worry though as he'll be back for them later and they are to just keep collecting any more energy left until he returns.

Blacker and Laster then appear and tell Victory Saber that another tidal wave is heading straight for them. Deszaras also arrives in his ship and tells Liokaiser to retreat now or he'll be destroyed by the wave, so the Decepticons pull out as Victory Saber tries to run from the massive wave but gets hits by it and washed away.

The Dinoforce are still loyally collecting energy for Deszaras, and have made quite a bit when the whole island starts to shake and sink as they then see a tidal wave heading straight towards them! And with no signs of the Thunder Arrow or Deszaras anywhere it's too late for them to avoid it and they are soon knocked out into the sea.

As the Autobots and rescued humans look out over the sea, Victory Saber jumps up from out of the water, having survived the tidal wave. As the Autobots re-group, they know that the Decepticons now have a lot of energy in their possession, but the narrator ends this one off by asking what does Deszaras plan to do once he has gotten back his fortress?

When Killbison transforms when he and the others attack Victory Leo and Star Saber, he gives the finger for one last time.

Something is up with the time of day in this episode - when Wingwaver and Star Saber first see Atlantis rise, it's going dark with a red sky, but when they land on Atlantis it's day time with a blue sky.

The problem with this episode is that in the second season of the original Transformers series, there was already an episode about Atlantis called Atlantis, Arise! which featured mermen creatures that had plans of their own against the Earth. These mermen are nowhere to be found in this episode though (not that I really think they would have stood much of a chance against Deszaras).
