Crisis! Ambush in the Desert

Greatshot is a warrior who travels around the galaxy making himself stronger, but he decides to return to Earth to see what the other Autobots are up to. But after spending the night resting in a cave he goes out to watch the sun rise over the ocean only for the peace to be shattered when the Decepticon ship, the Thunder Arrow, rises out of the sea!
 

Meanwhile the Autobots find out that the Dinoforce are attacking an oil field. Star Saber lets Blacker, Braver and Laster head out to stop them from taking any energy and also has the Rescue team blast off in Galaxy Shuttle to try and save people and try to put out any fires if the worst comes to the worst. Moments later the Autobots move out.
 

Kakuryu is put in charge of watching over the captured humans as the rest of the Dinoforce take oil and convert it into energon. They see Galaxy Shuttle approaching but do not react at all and continue to gather energy as it's all part of the Decepticon's plan. Meanwhile the Autobots see the layout of the oil field and decide to drop off Galaxy Shuttle when they're within 100 feet of their destination.
 

Suddenly Killbison and Drillhorn burst out of the ground and open fire on Galaxy Shuttle, who takes many hits and is damaged so badly that he can't land properly, and is forced into crashing. The Autobots inside him are ok and fire back on the two Decepticons, who start to withdraw. The Brainmasters transform and go after them but Laster and Braver's sports car modes are no good on the sand and they get stuck.
 

So they just transform and try to fight Drillhorn, but he escapes from them both and drills under the sand. Elsewhere Blacker's buggy mode is ideal for this terrain but he's still got Killbison to deal with. At the oil field, the Autobots find that there are a lot of workers on the site but Kakuryu is guarding them, so Fire is sent out to distract him.
 

So Fire just casually drives up and then blasts both him and his dinosaur shell in their faces with foam which means they can't see. With him out of the way for now the human workers can be led to safety. Meanwhile back outside the oil field Drillhorn has led Laster and Braver into quicksand and Killbison is still right behind Blacker, and to make things worse Leozack and Gaihawk appear.
 

As the Decepticons start to fire at the three Autobots, Blacker suggests that they transform into Road Caesar and try and use his power to get out of the quick sand. They merge and start to actually sink faster, but then he uses his energy to rise out of the sand. But Gaihawk is having none of that and uses his ice needle attack repeatedly to stop him and the gestalt separates leaving Blacker and Laster still stuck...
 

...and Blacker in a very bad position. But before the Decepticons can kill the Autobots Greatshot zooms in to the rescue and distracts them all, fighting both Leozack and Gaihawk in an aerial battle. Meanwhile all of the workers are boarding Galaxy Shuttle, who the Rescue team are repairing. Boater finds out that Greatshot has come and tells the others, and Jan contacts Star Saber who is already on his way having loss contact with them all earlier.
 

Whilst Greatshot isn't having much difficulty in laying the smack down on Gaihawk and Leozack, Blacker is not having much luck and with Drillhorn and Killbison teaming up to crush him, his team mates can't help him either as they are still stuck in the sand. The Thunder Arrow then blasts out of the sand as Hellbat and Jaruga join the battle.
 

Oh and Deszaras isn't missing out on any of the action either, using his bow to shoot an arrow straight through Greatshot's left arm. Jaruga and Hellbat then fire missiles at him, but Blacker dives in the way to take the hits instead.
 

But he is severely damaged and has had his left arm completely blown off. Star Saber frees Laster and Blacker who run over to their friend, and Greatshot tells them to take him back to Galaxy Shuttle, and he'll help Star Saber fight the Decepticons.
 

Star Saber transforms and heads up to the Thunder Arrow where he finds Deszaras waiting for him. Meanwhile Blacker is checked over by Pipo who says for now that he'll be okay, but he can only be fully repaired back at Shuttle base. Blacker tells Laster and Blacker to leave him here and to go and stop the Dinoforce from stealing any more energy as Greatshot kicks ass all over in various cool ways.
 

Star Saber then stops fighting Deszaras and instead gets Greatshot to help him damage the Thunder Arrow by flying through it. Deszaras then sees that Greatshot has gotten the better of Leozack and the others as they are all retreating. Deciding not to strain himself, he regains control of his ship and heads off at full speed.
 

But by doing this the Dinoforce have been left behind with all the energon and are under attack, and they have no idea what to do. A decision is made for them however when all the energon they made is blown up by Laster, and Goryu gives the order for them to retreat.
 

With Blacker on the mend and the Decepticons once again failing to get any energy, it's just about been a successful mission for the Autobots, but with the Decepticons carefully planning their attacks they need to be more ready than ever to stop them as Star Saber is reminded of how serious their mission of protecting the Earth is.
