Tanker Hijack Operation

Deszaras is once again not a very happy Decepticon. He wants to defeat Star Saber and the Autobots, and to do that he must release his fortress from the dark nebula, but this requires a large amount of energy. And every time he sends out his troops to collect some, they always fail and come back empty handed. Drillhorn then steps forward and says that he has a plan involving the theft of a oil tanker and that with both the Dinoforce and Brestforce working together, along with support from the Thunder Arrow, they will succeed.

Later on gas stations across Marine City suddenly have no oil left to sell -their supplies have all mysteriously disappeared. As the shortage is reported on TV the Autobots learn about it and decide that it must be the doing of the Decepticons as whenever there is an energy crisis, the Decepticons are involved somehow. Star Saber sends Blacker, Braver and Laster out to see if they can find anything.

The Autobots don't find anything other than empty gas stations and continue traveling around. Blacker sees Drillhorn and gives chase, but is attacked by Jaruga and follows him instead. However both of the Decepticons escape so Blacker contacts Star Saber and tells him that this definitely is the work of the Decepticons and they are trying to keep it a secret of whatever it is they're doing. Drillhorn returns to the Thunder Arrow...

...and contacts the mayor of Marine City. Mayor Burns has had a oil tanker head in to supply them with fuel but Drillhorn tells him not to go near it when it reaches port, otherwise the entire city will be blown up. And to prove that they aren't messing around, the Dinoforce are causing mayhem in the streets as people run around in panic. Kakuryu is stomping through alleys when he sees a car he thinks he recognises. He recognises it a little late though.

Blacker grabs onto him and threatens to break his neck if he doesn't squeal on what the Decepticons are doing. He's told that they have been sent into the city to plant a Neutron bomb, but before Blacker can get the information on it's location out of him the other Dinoforce members come to save the day and escape. Braver then shows up as the Dinoforce run off, and the Autobots now know how serious the situation is, although they can't do much about it.

The Mayor tells Star Saber about what the Decepticons have threatened, and os told by the Autobot leader to have everyone evacuate the city immediately. Soon all of the people are gone so Star Saber leaves Wingwaver in charge at the Shuttle base and then heads off to meet up with the other three Brainmasters. They all search the whole city for the bomb but their scanners don't pick up a thing.

Next morning the tanker is coming into port and the Autobots still haven't found the bomb, but they refuse to give up and continue their search, hoping to find it before the Decepticons take the tanker. The viewer then gets to see where the bomb is after a few shots and we find out that it's in the Mayor's tower building. Which, you know, only happens to be the tallest and most standing-out building in the entire city. These Autobots are useless stupid idiots sometimes.

It's too late for the Autobots anyway as the Decepticons jump onto the tanker and quickly take it over. The Thunder Arrow then rises out of the sea and opens up at the front, and activates a couple of tracker beams to drag the tanker backwards. Leozack then has another idea and draws his gun on the humans, saying that they can lure the Autobots to them and destroy them, and then after they do that they'll just blow up Marine City anyway. He shows all the tanker workers the device he has which can set off the bomb any time he wants. Blacker, however, has secretly swam his way over to the tanker and has heard and seen everything from one of the sides.

Blacker finds out where the Decepticons are hiding the bomb and soon relays this information onto the other Autobots. Braver is sent up to the top of the tower to find the thing as Star Saber and the others fight the Dinoforce, who combine into Dinoking. And even then they still don't do very well as the Brainmasters squash his face with flying kicks.

With Dinoking being no match for them, Star Saber transforms and attacks the Thunder Arrow, splitting up so the V-Star continues the assault as Star Saber knocks down a few Decepticons and then lands on the tanker. He then grabs Killbison and the Decepticons hesitate as they can't shoot at him unless they want to destroy Killbison.

But Leozack shows off his little detonator device and tells the Autobot to back off or Marine City will be obliterated. So in response to that, Star Saber throws Killbison straight into him, making him drop the detonator. Star Saber gets it but is then attacked by all of the Decepticon's Brest animals, who cause him to drop it.

Star Saber gets his hands on one of Leozack's lance weapons and uses it to beat down on all of the other Decepticons. Meanwhile the V-Star evades all of the Thunder Arrow's laser turret blasts and dives underwater, and then pulls up to shoot out the tractor beam mechanisms, stopping the tanker from being pulled in. Deszaras then says that the plan is ruined and pulls the damaged Thunder Arrow out of the water and into the air, once again retreating.

Dinoking is just in a world of hurt this episode and has his eyes damaged when Blacker and Laster shoot at them. The Dinoforce then retreat from Marine City as Star Saber merges back with the V-Star into his larger robot mode and finds that Leozack still has his hands on the detonator and activates it to blow up the city.

He presses the button... and nothing happens. So he keeps pressing it and still nothing happens, and the reason for that is because Braver has completely taken the bomb apart, making it useless. And since he's failed yet again Leozack transforms and flies away.

Thanks to their efforts the Autobots have saved Marine City from destruction, and have also stopped the Decepticons from getting any energy by keeping them from getting the tanker. And according the narrator, the Autobots still "have a burning rage in their hearts because of the Decepticons". Yikes!

The Mayor isn't named in the dub.

Also, in the dubbed version of this episode, some music is played at the part where Goryu rescues Kakuryu from Blacker, but it's silent at this part in the Japanese version. Unless, of course, this music was left out of the Metrodome DVD release of Victory for whatever reason.

Just why would Leozack want to detonate the bomb when Star Saber first lands on the tanker? Doing so would have not only destroyed the Autobots, but would also have destroyed all of the Decepticons. And yet Star Saber falls for it so maybe he's just really good at bluffing. Or Star Saber is just stupid.
