God Ginrai: Into The Sky!!

We are reminded of what happened in the last episode, as Devil Z sent Giga and Mega to the moon. The two of them united with their Transtectors to form Overlord, who then blasted off from the Earth and soon landed on the Moon. What we learn now is that they have also attacked and taken over a Moon base there, but that's nothing to worry about compared to the arrival of the Decepticons' new warrior: Black Zarak.

Meanwhile, the Bomber project is getting closer to completion by the minute, but Hawk finds out that communication has been lost with a weather observatory base on the Moon. The Autobots wonder what may have happened and if it's the doing of this mystery new Decepticon fighter, but there isn't anything they can do to find out at the moment. The staff at the Moon base have been locked into one of the few undamaged rooms, and are trying to contact the Earth somehow.

Giga and Mega are contacted by Devil Z, who tells them that as soon as they meet with Black Zarak, they are to return to the Earth. As they acknowledge this new order they then see that the captured humans are up to no good and have cut through the door and spilt up into two groups. Giga hunts down one group and uses his gun to freeze them all, but the other group manage to send a brief message to Earth.

The distress signal is also picked up by Phoenix at the Autobot base in Japan, so he contacts Hawk and fills him in on the situation, and that it seems that Overlord is the one behind this. The others think about why Overlord would bother going to the Moon in the first place, but then Phoenix gets some new information and reveals that Black Zarak is heading there. Grand Maximus then contacts Hawk and tells him that the reason they are meeting there is that they will immediately head to the Earth and start an all out Decepticon attack on the planet, and that he himself is heading to the Moon to try and stop them, and they must finish the Bomber project quickly.

Hawk gathers some of the others and tells them that they have studied Black Zarak and found out that he is many times more powerful than Overlord, and Shūta cannot help but think that if he makes it to the Earth, he will do horrible things to the Autobots. But he isn't here yet and it will be down to Ginrai to stop him, as the Bomber project is now nearly done.

Lightfoot tries to take away the tension by showing Ginrai and the Headmaster Jrs what God Bomber will look like when it is completed. The vehicle mode for it can move at high speeds and thanks to it's twin engines it has the power of flight, and is capable of reaching speeds of mach 15. The Godcannon is a detachable weapon which can cause extreme amounts of destruction, and of course, God Bomber will be able to unite with Super Ginrai to make him even more powerful.

As the others leave to go and check on God Bomber's progress, Ginrai stays behind and thinks of how Overlord defeated him in battle, and that now he must not only fight him again but also take on Black Zarak as well. Thinking about his previous loss makes him angry so he starts punching a wall, although he regrets doing this moments later. Meanwhile God Bomber now has almost all of it's parts in place and Hawk tells everyone working on it to keep this pace up.

Ginrai goes outside, and Shūta and Cab follow him and ask what's up. He tells them not to worry and that he will overcome his possible fear of Overlord by doing some training, and the next morning he spars with the two of them for a few minutes as he begins to realise that there is nothing to fear anymore. Lightfoot then arrives and brings good news - the Bomber project has finally been completed!

Hawk thanks everyone for their efforts in making the project a success, but Ginrai announces that he is now going to head straight to the Moon and trash Overlord. God Bomber is moved outside where Ginrai's now repaired Transtector is, but Hawk says they need to test it out a bit first. Ginrai refuses though as he only has one thing on his mind, and he wants to go and do it now.

And with that, he merges with his Transtector and forms Super Ginrai, and then unites with God Bomber to form God Ginrai, and as the others celebrate the fact that the unification process worked, he doesn't stay still for long as his rocket engines activate and he heads into the sky, and is soon in space on his way to the Moon.

Devil Z finds out that the Bomber project has been completed and that God Ginrai is heading towards the Moon, and soon Giga and Mega are alerted to this. Giga says they'll destroy him as Overlord, and soon Overlord finds himself confronting this new form of Ginrai. The two of them start to fight, which is somehow being recorded live for viewing at the Autobot base (how did everyone get from Canada to Japan so quickly?).

God Ginrai starts to dominate the fight, and Overlord knows that his best chance is to try and buy some time until Black Zarak arrives. So he heads back towards the Moon base and gets God Ginrai to follow him, just as Black Zarak reaches the Moon and transforms to his robot mode before landing on the surface.

With the new Decepticon finally making his appearance, God Ginrai is now outnumbered and the fight has fallen into the Decepticon's favour. He knows that he cannot lose as the Earth will be devastated by the Decepticons, and tells the two of them to bring it on as the episode ends on a cliff-hanger: will God Ginrai's first appearance also be his last?

This really is the last time Ginrai gets a power up or new form or anything, I promise.

And yes, Black Zarak is the same Scorponok/Zarak from The Headmasters. See the FAQ section for more info on him.
