A Powerful Foe!! Sixknight the Wanderer

A squadron of three Japanese planes are out on patrol, when something dashes past them at a very high speed. They engage it but none of their weapons effect the new target, who chases them through the clouds and shoot all three planes down. The attacker then shows that he can transform, and changes into a boat vehicle which heads across the sea to destroy a Navy ship. Who is he?

Meanwhile Diver has visited Japan for the first time in a while and is impressed with Cab's tree house, but he then gets a call asking him to go back to the main base. At the base, Hawk tells them about the attack last night and that one of the pilots reported that their attacker changed into a laser gun weapon. This worries all of the Autobots, as it could mean that the Decepticons have found another Godmaster.

And this new evil entity is heading straight towards the Decepticon base as top speed, where inside, Bullhorn and Cancer are sparring whilst Wilder, Blood, Dauros and Gilmer watch. After a few seconds Gilmer tells them to stop and says that their weak attitude in combat means that they will never be able to beat the Autobots, so he and Dauros step into the ring to teach them the basics of hand to hand combat.

Before they can start, everyone hears a sinister laugh from inside the base and it isn't anyone they know. As they all look around, something emerges from the shadows: Sixknight. And he keeps laughing as the Decepticon Pretenders say that he did pretty well to get into their base without being detected, but Sixknight just tells them it's an easy thing to do. Not impressed with his ego, the Decepticon Pretenders attack...

They can't even get close to him though as he uses a barrage of incredibly fast punches to knock them all away, and given how powerful he is the Headmaster Jrs take him to Giga and Mega. Sixknight says that he is a super powerful Transformer who is here to use his strength to crush the Autobots for them and help take over this world, which should be an easy task with only the weak human scum on it. But Mega says that it is impossible to control the Earth with power alone.

Mega goes on to say that there are much more powerful lifeforms out there then what he could ever hope to be, and that they are known as Godmasters. This ticks Sixknight of as he believes that he is the strongest in the universe, but Mega tells him that they won't be needing his help and has Blood escort him out of the base. But Blood says that if he does want to prove himself, he should go and defeat a Godmaster, and the most powerful one is known as Super Ginrai.

So Sixknight instantly heads off to find Super Ginrai, or rather, get Super Ginrai to come to him as he's an Autobot, and Autobots like to save people, so he starts to attack a city. Blood and Gilmer also head along and watch from a distance as word of the attack reaches the Autobot base. Hawk contacts Ginrai, who tells them all they he'll leave the search for the other Godmaster to Lightfoot and Ranger for now so he can join the others in fighting this new enemy.

Metalhawk and Diver arrive first, and all Sixknight wants to know is where this Ginrai character is. Blood and Gilmer start to attack Diver even though Sixknight tells them not to interfere. Metalhawk is then given the task to take on the new Decepticon, but even he can't defeat him and after a few seconds of fighting, he is blasted out of the sky.

With Cab putting out fires and Minerva helping the injured, Shūta heads off to see what the others are up to but instead finds Sixknight thinking that he is Ginrai! As the two of them clash, Ginrai rolls in and is told where the others are thanks to Minerva, and heads to them just as Shūta is in danger of being destroyed by Sixknight, but he stops when he finally finds the real Ginrai has arrived.

Sixknight tells Ginrai that he has gone from planet to planet looking for a worthy opponent to fight, and that he has never lost a battle to date, and that he looks like he could finally be the one he's being searching for. Sixknight then starts the fight and gains the upper hand straight away by using an technique he's developed where he goes through all six of his transformation modes to attack.

But when he changes to his robot mode, Ginrai avoids his last attack and kicks him in the face, and then pins him down and tries to tear off one of his legs. Seeing that he is in trouble, Blood suddenly hatches a plan to try and turn the tide and leaves Gilmer to deal with Metalhawk and Diver, and he changes back to his Pretender shell to fly away. Meanwhile Cab and Minerva have finished rescue operations are about to head back when a large pair of monster hands grab Minerva!

After teaching us all that violence is okay against children in cartoons, Blood takes his new hostage back to the battle and tells the two Autobot Pretenders to stand down. Gilmer then changes back to his Pretender shell and congratulates Blood on his wonderful plan, but he also wants Minerva and the two almost pull her apart until they decide they can both hold her and tell Ginrai to release Sixknight, or she dies.

He complies and as Sixknight gets up, he repays the favour for the last few minutes of pain he's been put through and smashes Ginrai around a bit but doesn't understand why he isn't fighting back. Ginrai just tells him to finish it if it's so important to him to win, but Minerva then shouts out to Ginrai and says that it doesn't matter what happens to her, just fight. Sixknight then understands why Ginrai isn't fighting back, and it's because he cares for the human germs. Not satisfied with this, he decides to take action. And what does he do?

He jumps up to where the two Decepticon Pretenders are, shoves his guns into their skulls and threatens to blow their heads off if they don't release the human. Not surprisingly, they do.

With Minerva safe and back with the Autobots, Ginrai and Sixknight resume their fight as a storm starts. Sixknight starts to use his six mode attack, but Ginrai merges with his trailer into Super Ginrai and starts to charge one of his blasters with the three super energies.

Ginrai fires off the blast and Sixknight tries to shoot it but fails, and he is blown out of the sky and lands in a smoking heap in front of his opponent. Ginrai says that the battle is ended, and Sixknight wants to know why he isn't going to finish him off, but that is because, to Sixknight's surprise...

...the one who defeated him was a thing that he thought was nothing but scum: a human! Ginrai tells the others that they are going home, and Blood and Gilmer also decide to head back, believing that Sixknight is nothing but show. Sixknight is left on his own, thinking about how he underestimated humans now that he has been defeated by one, and how a human could possibly have gained so much power. The narrator then asks whether or not Sixknight will continue to fight with the Decepticons and stand against Ginrai once again.

Minerva wears different clothes than usual in this episode, which is a true rarity for a cartoon character with a model sheet.

If you want a really interesting couple of factoids about Sixknight, he was originally going to be a new version of Sixshot and have a staggering one hundred different transformations! But this never went through, allegedly because the artists complained about doing so many model sheets for just one character. Plus how on Earth they could have made a toy for him is anyone's guess.
