A Hero Is Chosen - His Name Is Ginrai

At the Decepticon base, Giga and Mega surprise Hydra and Buster when they tell them that they are not the only Godmasters on Earth - there are more, but they just haven't been found yet. It is critical that they do find them first as it would be tragic if the Autobots managed to get to them before they did, so Giga sends out the brothers to start searching.

Meanwhile in the US, Diver is at his place of work, and is expecting a new dolphin to arrive but it hasn't yet, and he can't find out any more information from the other aquarium manager who had it sent via truck. A few seconds later though the trucker contacts Diver to say that he's running late because his truck has broken down and that he's trying to get a new one at a rental shop. The rental owner says that he's only got one that could pull the trailer and goes to take him to it.

The rental shop owner goes on to explain that this truck in particular seems to be very mysterious, and says that one guy was meant to have it for a week but bought it back after a day or two but the trucker says that he'll take it and is soon off once again. He reaches Diver's institute and the dolphin is delivered, and then he thinks that he'll buy this truck if it's a cheap enough price.

Hydra and Buster have started their search by flying to America. Hydra has chosen this country as it was the one where they became Godmasters, and that their transtectors changed into jets, so he believes that any more Godmasters should have vehicle forms also. For now, all they can do is try to piece together any information they can on where other possible Godmasters could be.

The trucker continues to look around his new vehicle and finds that the interior is in just as good condition as the exterior, and then has a look in the glove compartment and finds a sphere. He takes it and opens it up to find a pair of bracelets which he thinks the previous owner left behind, and puts them on and starts to comb his hair, but then thinks that the bracelets look awful on him.

He tries to take them off but they won't come off, no matter how hard he tries to do so. Diver heads over to the truck and sees the driver straining himself and asks what's up, and is told about the braces and that they won't budge. But Diver knows exactly what they are, and tells the trucker to take him to where he got this vehicle straight away.

The rental shop is about two hours away so the two set off and Diver has to explain to the trucker who the Decepticons are - he's heard of them, but didn't know what they were called. Diver goes on to say that with those braces he's wearing, he too can change into a giant robot. The trucker laughs it off and says that he'll try and cut the braces off but Diver tells him that that probably won't be possible.

Elsewhere in America, Hydra and Buster have met up with the three Decepticon Headmaster Jrs, who have also been doing their part in searching for other Godmasters and have found out about a supposed mysterious truck which can repair itself, although they have no idea if it's an actual Godmaster or not. All they know is that it's at a certain rental shop in the US, but that's enough for Hydra and Buster to be interested.

Diver says that he doesn't know how the bracelets can be removed, which the trucker isn't that happy about but they have to change what they are talking about when the controls for the truck stop working properly, and seems to have gotten a life of it's own. The trucker manages to get it past one corner but then the brakes stop working and it crashes through a barrier and down a cliff.

The trailer becomes disconnected from the truck as they both fall down the cliff, and Diver does the most un-Autobot like thing by saving himself as he gets out of the truck and changes to his robot mode, but leaves the human in danger. The truck crashes into the ground, and then to make things worse the trailer lands on top of it.

Diver shouts to the trucker but gets no response, so instead he starts to shift the trailer. But then to make things even worse, Hydra and Buster, who were heading towards the rental shop, have seen the destroyed barrier and see the Autobot Pretender and the truck below and transform and take it for themselves, although Diver says he won't let that happen.

And so Hydra and Buster attack Diver, but inside the ruined cab, the trucker is still actually alive although badly wounded and he says that he didn't just come to America to end up like this, and tries to get out the wreckage. Meanwhile the two brothers tell Diver that this is another Godmaster that they will be taking with them.

Hydra then decides to show off and uses his Chokon power to make a bunch of rocks levitate, and then gets them to fly straight into Diver a few times. Hydra also uses his Tenchokon to great effect on the Autobot. But Diver isn't dead yet and tells the two Godmaster brothers that he will get the young person out of the truck no matter what.

And that young person is still alive and still trying to get out of the truck, saying that he will not die. as he finally drags himself to the door and tries to open it, one of his arms collapses on the other, and the two braces connect to each other for the first time - and suddenly, he has a new mech suit on and the entire truck interior fixes itself!

And then the truck's exterior also repairs itself, and the now in a mech suit trucker leaps out of it and transforms, attaching himself to the front of the cab. This starts an incredible transformation as the truck changes into a robot!

...

The new robot recognises Diver from his voice, and Diver tells him that the other two are Decepticons. The new robot decides that he doesn't like them and then displays that he can also use Chokon power, and hurls some rocks at them to make them stay back. They decide to retreat to inform Lord Giga and are soon gone.

Later on the trucker transforms back to his normal self and tells Diver that his body is fine and fully healed, and then introduces himself - his name is Ginrai, and he comes from Japan but came to the U.S. two years a go as he found his home country too cramped and wanted to see what he could do in spacious America.

But Ginrai's head is a mess after he realises that he is now caught up in the Transformer war but there's nothing he can do about it now, as Diver says that the truck itself is alive as it is a transtector that Ginrai has merged with. The narrator then ends the episode by saying how a Godmaster, something Diver knows nothing about, has suddenly appeared as if bought by a great force.

This episode must have the smallest Autobot cast size ever, with only two Autobots featured.

Ginrai is not Optimus Prime. What's funny is that it's never mentioned by any of the other characters why he looks just like Optimus Prime, but you can find out why he looks like everyone's favourite Autobot in the FAQ section. When that section is up, obviously.

Notice something different about Hydra this episode?

For the past two episodes, his arms and legs had incorrect colours, they were white instead of red (left picture) but from this episode onwards, they have the correct colours.
