The Final Showdown on Earth Part 2
| |
The final episode of this series starts with Metroplex returning to Fortress' ship and telling the Autobots that a third death tower has appeared in Washington, as was seen at the end of the previous episode. The Aerialbots have been sent out to it's location but it's likely that they won't be able to do anything about it.
The Autobots try to figure out where Zarak will be and where the next death tower will appear, and given where the other three towers have appeared Fortress believes the next will appear somewhere over the Mediterranean. Punch then contacts them saying that he's found out that Zarak is heading to Egypt, and Fortress says that must be where the next death tower will appear, so the Autobots head off for there. Apart from Metroplex, Daniel and Wheelie who stay behind.
Daniel and Wheelie are annoyed as they wanted to go with Fortress to fight the Decepticons, but Metroplex tells them that they've got a mission which is just as important. The death towers have been destroying various places and with many injured people they need to go and help them out.
As the Autobots head to Egypt, Soundblaster spots them and tells the other Decepticons that the Autobots have found out that they are in Egypt. The Autobots arrive in Egypt and the Decepticon Headmasters are sent out to deal with them, who land on the ship and say that they'll defeat the Autobots with their "trio formation", which Weirdwolf made to confuse enemies with...
...and it involves them stacking up on top of each other and walking towards the Autobots.
The formation seems to actually work really well as the Autobots have no idea what they are doing but then the Horrorcons turn up and ask if they can join in as well, and they both transform and land on top of the Decepticon Headmasters. The weight proves too much for Weirdwolf to take and they end up stumbling around like idiots. Fortress then increases his ship's speed suddenly and they end up falling off.
Sixshot is also at Egypt and sees that the Autobots have arrived, and then hears a noise behind him. The fourth death tower than appears and the Autobots also see it. Trying to somehow stop it before it starts emitting electro-magnetic waves, Fortress sends out the Targetmasters.
Daniel and Wheelie are at a ship called the Queens World, and the injured are being transported off it, including Carly. Daniel wants to stay with her but Spike says he'll look after her and he can go and help the Autobots elsewhere. Daniel and Wheelie then set off whilst Spike and Carly tell them to be careful.
Meanwhile the new death tower is now ready and the Decepticon clones set-up an energy booster for it so even more energy can be drained from the Earth. Zarak laughs as his grand plan is coming close to completion and the death tower in Egypt turns the sky dark as it begins to extract energy from the Earth's core.
With the new death tower activated Fortress knows that it is too late to do anything about it, and then Scorponok appears from beneath the sand. Fortress tells him to give up but he's obviously not going to do that, and Zarak tells all Decepticons to get aboard Scorponok.
Fortress transforms into his giant robot mode and tells Zarak that he's coming for him, but as he runs towards his enemy the death tower's electromagnetic waves blast Fortress and prevent him from attacking. Zarak tells him that he has a much bigger use for Fortress yet, and then tells him that he'll see him at the North Pole, before taking off and leaving the area.
Sixshot follows Scorponok and sees it crash into the Indian ocean. Sixshot doesn't understand why the Decepticons have come here as they said they were going to the North Pole next, but he follows them anyway, only to get sucked into a whirlpool. When he gets up he finds himself in a underground city where the Decepticons have been hiding, and Zarak is extremely surprised to see him. Zarak decides to show Sixshot his plan.
Zarak shows Sixshot the large quantity of gliss he is producing, which he tells Sixshot can be a highly destructive substance and is what he'll use to destroy the Earth completely. The satellite we saw in the previous episode will then collect all of the released plasma energy from the huge explosion that will follow. Sixshot then bids farewell to Zarak as he is leaving the Decepticons, but Zarak tries to kill him, only to shoot a shadow - lots of Sixshot shadows then laugh at Zarak and then vanish.
Another death tower appears in the South Pole and soon the entire Earth is covered with electro-magnetic waves which start to destroy things. Fortress assembles all of the Autobots and heads straight towards the North Pole. As they arrive there the Autobots don't understand why Fortress would have a part to play in Zarak's plan and that it must be a trick or something.
They soon see that the Decepticons are all there, and they also see a large gliss platform behind them. Scorponok tells the other Decepticons to engage the Autobots in battle, but they must not forget the countdown. The largest battle between the Autobots and Decepticons ever then starts, with every gestalt present and just about all of the other characters seen in the series fighting it out.
Fortress transforms into his large robot mode once again and starts to fight Scorponok, but thanks to Scorponok putting his shield at full power he manages to knock the master sword out of Fortress' hands. He then stomps on Fortress' hand to stop him from getting the master sword back but he is then distracted by Daniel and Wheelie who start shooting at him.
This gives Fortress enough time to get his master sword back and then knock
Scorponok out of the way. He tells Daniel and Wheelie to stay back and as they do they are attacked by Battletrap, but a stray laser blast and a punch from Defensor takes care of him. Daniel wonders where that laser came from, but they are then attacked by Menasor, but he is knocked back and Sixshot reveals himself for one last time. Sixshot tells Daniel to take care of himself and then says goodbye and vanishes just as Wheelie runs in.
Scorponok then says that the satellite is directly above him and then tells Fortress to come and get him. Fortress doesn't know what a mistake this is and attempts to slice Scorponok in two but his blow is blocked by Scorponok's shield and he can't move.
The satellite then blasts the pair with energy and Zarak tells Fortress that this is the end of the Earth. He then leaves Scorponok and orders all of the Decepticons to retreat and follow him into space as they watch the Earth's destruction. Fortress still cannot move and all the other Autobots can do is watch.
Chromedome tells the others to use the head formation to try and free Fortress but they are not successful. Daniel is watching and then has a "what would Sixshot do in this situation" kind of moment.
"Daniel! The Autobots have strong bonds in friendship. You must unite!"
Daniel and Wheelie tell all of the Autobots to help the Headmasters and everyone there jumps up to join in and create something called the "final formation". With so many Autobots in this is generates a huge amount of power which they hit Fortress with, freeing him from his paralyzed state and sending all of the energy into his sword, which pushes back the electro-magnetic waves straight back up to the satellite, which destroys it. The Decepticons can only watch as Zarak's plan is ruined at the last second.
Fortress then says he'll destroy Scorponok and since Zarak is no longer there to control it, Fortress just jumps up and slices it into two pieces with his master sword. Scorponok is destroyed in a large explosion.
The battle is over. The Decepticons have been driven off the Earth and are heading out into space. But the Autobots know they must go after them to stop them from destroying other planets, and that means that they have to leave the Earth too. Fortress tells Daniel that they'll keep the universe safe from the Decepticons and that they'll come back to Earth sometime, and Wheelie says he'll make sure they do.
After saying their goodbyes, the Autobots blast off whilst Spike and Carly wave whilst Daniel shouts out goodbye. Fortress' ship heads towards the sunset as the episode ends.
As soon as the episode ends, the opening sequence then plays before the credits for some reason.
As we saw in the previous episode, the Decepticon clones were seemingly destroyed by Sixshot but they're alive and well here.
In the last shot of the Decepticons, Predaking is holding a lightsaber, which he never actually got to fight with in the series.
