The Miracle Warriors - The Targetmasters: Part 2

The Autobot Headmasters can only watch the large explosion until it dies down, and they see that Sixshot and the other Decepticons have gone. However, Pointblank, Crosshairs and Sureshot are still there but something strange has happened: they suddenly have new weapons attached on their wrists. Chromedome gets the other Headmasters to gather them up and take them inside Fortress' ship.

Fortress decides to head back to Autobot City on Earth, where his ship is completely repaired. Inside the city Pointblank and his two companions have recovered and learn that their new weapons are actually transformers themselves - they were the ones inside the small ship when the bomb went off, but someone they changed due to the released plasma energy and became Targetmasters. The Targetmasters have superior firepower to normal Autobots. However, the robots from Master are concerned about their other friends, who are still missing (it's revealed Pointblank, Sureshot and Crosshairs can understand their language through telepathy). Fortress then says that they need to head to Master pronto to stop Zarak from taking over the planet.

Meanwhile on planet Master, the Decepticons have started an all out war. Master's population fights back and fights back with gun emplacements and tanks, but these are no match for the Decepticons who start to wipe them all out easily.

Scorponok has already landed on the planet and Zarak learns from Sixshot that the Autobots are heading there way. But Zarak has a surprise for the Autobots in the shape of their own Targetmasters, and that Fortress will not be able to get him off Master this time.

Fortress' ship is already on the way to Master, and Daniel asks Pointblank a few questions about how strong he is. Pointblank says that he and his team have battled and defeated countless Decepticons and now they are even stronger with their new Targetmaster buddies. The Autobot Headmasters then walk in and Pointblank says that he was disappointed with the Autobot Headmaster's combat abilities and that they could be better, although the Headmasters take this completely the wrong way and the Headmasters and Targetmasters dislike each other.

The new Decepticon Targetmasters begin to make mincemeat out of Master's defense forces, and the main gun emplacement is destroyed. Inside the gun emplacement is a small robot called Jack, and we'll see more of him a little later on.

The Autobots then arrive on Master and a fight starts between the two sides, but thanks to the help of the new Autobot Targetmasters the fight doesn't last very long and Zarak orders all of the Decepticons to retreat so they can think up a new strategy (for some reason the Decepticon Targetmasters are missing from this scene). With the residents of Master safe for now some of the Autobot Headmaster's old friends come out to say hi.

Jack then appears out of the wreckage of the gun emplacement, and Chromedome sees him. Jack is taken back to Fortress' ship and is repaired just as Chromedome enters the room to see his old friend, but Jack doesn't recognise him until Chromedome transformers his head to robot mode. Outside there is loads of bonding between the 2 and it's revealed that Jack had originally trained to become a Headmaster like Chromedome, but failed the training. However, he became a scientist instead and worked on Fortress' ship and the master sword.

Later on Chromedome and Jack says goodbye to each other for now as Chromedome has to head to a meeting with the other Autobots about how they're going to kick the Decepticons off Master. Chromedome runs off and Jack turns around to leave himself, only then Chromedome calls out to him, he's back for some reason. Chromedome approaches Jack...and then knocks him out by smashing him in the chest. Uh oh. Pointblank then notices a few seconds later that Chromedome is flying off with Jack and heads back to tell Fortress that something strange is going on.

The Chromedome that Jack got punched by was actually Sixshot in disguise, and Jack is taken onboard Scorponok, who is hidden underground. The Decepticons torture Jack as they want to try and get the secrets of the master sword out of him, although he tells them he doesn't know anything. Mindwipe takes over but the only information he gets is that Fortress is the only one who knows what kind of super strong metal the master sword is made out of.

Since the real Chromedome is on Fortress' ship, the Autobots quickly figure out that the Decepticons have captured Jack. Highbrow says that Zarak probably has no interest in gaining any knowledge about Fortress' ship, but he wants to know about the master sword, as that weapon has been the key in defeating him in previous battles (see "I risk my life for Earth" for more on that). The Autobots prepare to move out and rescue him.

Meanwhile, the Decepticons cannot get any more information out of Jack and it seems his capture was a complete waste of time until Sixshot comes up with an incredibly nasty idea -he'll get Jack to blow up Fortress' ship. Sixshot installs a highly explosive bomb inside Jack, and then Mindwipe uses his power to give him just one goal: head towards the Autobot's ship.

The Autobots assemble outside and they are about to split up to look for Jack as they have no idea where the Decepticons are, but then they notice that Jack is walking straight towards them. Chromedome runs towards his friend but Pointblank stops him and gets Twincast to run his sensors on Jack, and they discover that he has had a bomb planted on him.

The bomb cannot be removed at this time and Jack heads straight towards Fortress' ship. Chromedome tries to talk to Jack, only for Jack to turn around and shoot at his with fingertip lasers -Sixshot went as far as to install weapons on him. Pointblank then says they must destroy Jack before he blows up the ship, and despite protests from Highbrow everyone else knows that it is the only way.

Chromedome then steps forward and says that he'll be the one to do it, but stumbles when he thinks of the fond memories he had with Abel and Jack millions of years a go. Pointblank then gets ready to shoot again as he doesn't believe Chromedome will, but Chromedome then leaps in front of Jack, who starts to shoot Chromedome again. Chromedome then takes aim and fires, blowing a hole straight through his friend's chest.

Jack isn't dead from the shot though and he manages to tell Chromedome that the Decepticons are after the secrets of the master sword. The bomb then goes off and Jack is killed instantly, leaving nothing more than a large crater.

The Decepticons then attack but with every Autobot extremely pissed off they don't stand a chance. The Decepticon Targetmasters are also present, and their Autobot counterparts find out that the likes of Slugslinger and co. have had a power-up in the weapons department just as they have. Thinking of how Sixshot has killed both Abel and Jack, Chromedome goes into such a rage that he shoots both of Sixshot's arms off. The Decepticons retreat, although Slugslinger warns Pointblank that the next time they meet, he'll kill him, although Pointblank just makes a joke about it.

Later on Chromedome blames himself for not being able to save Jack, but Pointblank shows up and tells him to save his strength for the next battle with the Decepticons. The two of them respect each other's power even though they don't like each other that much, which Daniel and Wheelie are happy that they're friends now. Fortress then tells Pointblank to keep giving Chromedome support as he'll make a fine warrior.

When Chromedome thinks about Abel's death, he thinks of this:

Which is wrong because A) Sixshot should be completely black with red eyes and B) Sixshot didn't blow a hole through Abel's chest. See here.
