I have the most luck with this, usually getting two or three rounds before disconnecting on a bad day, and on a good day can go as long as I want.

Brawl, meanwhile, I've got working a whole once. Even the times when Mario Kart works flawlessly, I get nowhere in that waiting room. I've yet to try it with a friend match, though, so maybe that would get results.
