Give a squid a home

No cash prize to hand out, I’m afraid – I went and found the unused Metal Slug Advance areas myself. There’s still a debug menu and a Slug Mariner to find, though, so if anyone in the audience has the hacking chops to find them, what are you waiting for?!

The past couple of weeks have been rough, full of work, stress and regrets. Still, it’s good to find the time to bust open MS Paint and make some fresh garbage. Thanks for sticking around, folks.

    Congrats on finding this stuff!

BUT CAN YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT MAKES MSA AN ACTUAL GOOD GAME????

I don’t know man, finding my receipt sounds like the only good answer

I think Metal Slug 6 is too suspicious.I mean,no enemies or backgrounds have been found yet.I think SNK is giving you a hard time.

Also, have you played MS6 or MS7?And what do you think about them? Also there`s no giraffe slug or shit like that.

Hopefully when Atomiswave emulation improves there’ll be more findings in MS6, but it crashed five times just while I was documenting its test areas. Maybe my patience will be the first to improve.

I’ve only played 6 three or four times. The new features are pretty neat – the character-specific traits, weapon switching and the new score mechanic – but I never really warmed up to the rest of the game. It’s got some inventive bosses, but I think the erratic nature of the new alien foes makes it tough to get to grips with, especially when so many attacks turn them into instant-death hitboxes. I need to spend more time with it, though.

I’ve played 7 once, but I’m very well acquainted with XX. Its level themes/backdrops are boring as hell and some of the new Slugs are a bit pointless (especially the mech, holy cow is it boring), but it’s a good game. Not oustanding or anything, but a fine solid addition. I might be biased because I’ve sunk a lot of hours into the Combat School mode, mind you.

Sadly SNKP is focusing now only on mobile games.

About the test stage you found,it looks so trashy,i wonder why SNK made it.
