Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Revival
Written by Galvatron, images from GameSpot and IGN.
Capcom's first two games for the GBA were Final
Fight One and this. Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Revival was a
horrid game full of terrible glitches, up to the point where
there is even entire
glitch
guides available on the net for it. Oh well, at least Final
Fight turned out okay.

All of these screens are taken from an earlier version of the game. The most
notable thing is the fact that the stage Ryu and Ken are fighting in is not even in the final version. That
stage is Zangief's from the original arcade Street Fighter 2, but
in the final they modernised it by having it in a completely
different location. Also in that shot, you can see that Ryu
has won one round, but the yellow block thing with a V in it was
replaced by a red ball with a white V in it for the final version.
In all of these screens, the names of the characters are in red (in
the final, they're green). Also, the super bars are slightly
different to the final version. Another little note is about the
fighter's energy bars - there seems to be a little blue part at
the end of the each bar, as if they are connected to the timer.

Red character names and different super bars again.

This above shot was one of the first images seen for the game.
There are no super bars, no character names, and the timer is
completely different. The life bars are also slightly different, and despite
Guile having just hit Bison, no damage is registered.
The stage that Guile and Bison are fighting on seems to be Ryu's
from SF2, but the castle is missing from the background. The
final version has a completely different background anyway.

Another shot of the different stage. Plus another shot on Sagat's
stage, but again without the super bars, character names or damage registration. It
could be possible that at first, they wanted to do a version of Super Street
Fighter II (that version didn't have the super moves
etc) but then they decided to add features from Super Street
Fighter II Turbo.

Some of these screens made it onto the back of the America/PAL
box.
This video shows some oddities on Blanka's stage, most of the
background crowd don't animate at all (they do in the final) and
whenever Ken does his flaming dragon punch, the game slows-down
horrifically.
It can be found
here.
It's the "TGS video 1".
This video shows a lot of the stuff mentioned already, with the
different super bars and red character names. At one point, Ryu KO's
Sagat, and the KO text which appears is different (it's red, in
the final it's white). Also, there seem to be different graphics
for when anyone blocks an attack (it's been a long time since I
played the game though so I might be wrong about that) and the
energy bars act differently - here, when anyone takes damage the
damage instantly adds onto their life bar, in the final it kind
of morphs on.
This video has the same kind of stuff as the one above.
This video again has the usual stuff like the red character names.
The above three movies are all available from
here.
